Stroud, 45, of Springfield, will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m., at the Little Flock Baptist Church of Many, where he was a member. Burial will follow at Little Flock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Harry McNeely and Son of Hammond. Stroud, a native of Many, and resident of Springfield for the past several years, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1983, near Madrid, Spain, where he was employed as Senior Drilling Representative for the Eastern Div. Of Chevron Oil Co. U. S. A., Inc. A two hour visitation will be held prior to services at Little Flock, once he is returned from overseas. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Elsie Walker of Oak Hill Baptist Church, and Rev. Skinner of Little flock Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty McCain Stroud of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Madge Jones, Houston, Tex.; one brother, Bryan Stroud, Mineral Wells, Tex.; one aunt, Mrs. Nezzie Perkins, Shreveport; one niece; and four nephews. Stroud was preceded in death by one son, Randy Stroud, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd J. Stroud of Many. Pallbearers will be Edward Speight, C. W. Speight, David Speight, Eddie Speight, Bill Brannon, Sonny Miller, and Bobby Smith.
