Mrs. Fern Stewart

  Mrs. Fern Stewart, 60, of Florien, died Tuesday, April 30, after
a sudden illness.

  Funeral services were held Thursday, May 2, in Plainview Baptist
Church, with the Rev. Glen Flenniken officiating.

  Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include her husband, Curtis Stewart of Florien; one
daughter, Mrs. Madaline Wells of Simpson; four sons, Maurice
Stewart of Marino, Calif., Leroy of Ft. Hood, Tex., Billy Mack of
El Paso, Tex., and Roger of Eglin AFB, Fla.; one sister, Mrs.
Bertha Chance of Florien; one brother, N. W. Slaughter of
Glenmora; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
