Stewart Funeral services were held Oct. 6, for Mrs. R. D. Stewart, 67, who died in Natchitoches, La., after a long illness. The services were held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, the Rev. R. H. Dressler, and the Rev. Siles Sanchez officiating. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery, with Warren Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Clifford of Jal, New Mexico, Clovis of Blanchard, La., Laurence of Kermit, Texas, Milton of Natchitoches, Berman of Port Sulphur, La., Obie of Dallas, Texas, and Prentis Stewart of Augusta, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert L. Durr of Fort Smith, Ark., Mrs. Laura Powell of Robeline, and Mrs. Elmer Reese of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Etta Hewitt of Hornbeck; 37 grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Evon Thaxton, Cecil West, Lambert Jones, Ellis Pentecost, Younger Stewart, and O. L. Stewart.
