Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Glen Hardy, and Wayne Read officiating. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Claudia Sterling of Many; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Sterling of Hornbeck; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Brenda Lovelady of Ft. Polk; two brothers, Huey of Hornbeck, and Henry of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Manes, El Dorado Springs, Missouri; Mrs. Anne Dean Anaheim, California; and Mrs. Bertha Lee Weeks, Leesville; three half-brothers, Lum Sterling, Hornbeck, Tom Sterling, Spurger, Texas, and Huey Stidinent, Vidor, Texas; one half-sister, Mrs. Winnie Williams of Beaumont, and one granddaughter.
