Starling, 79, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, at the First United Methodist Church in Bradley. Officiating the services was the Rev. Charles Walthall, assisted by the Rev. Denny Wright. Burial followed in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Smith's Funeral Home of Stamps, Arkansas. Mr. Starling passed away suddenly, Sunday, December 3, at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of the Bradley area, and was born November 3, 1910, in Lane. Mr. Starling was a retired mechanic, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Bradley Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Starling of Bradley; two sons, James Henry Starling of Shreveport, and Jerry Starling of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one daughter, Sarah Trice of Bossier City; one sister, Lucy Rosa of Noble; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
