(Bill) Storm of Many died Tuesday, Jan. 12 following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services were held Friday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church and in Baton Rouge Sunday, fan. 17 at 2 p.m. at Quail Ridge Bible Church. Mr. Storm donated his remains to the LSU Medical and Research Anatomical Center in the hopes that he might benefit future cancer patients. He retired from Turner Industries of Baton Rouge following a tenure of over 30 years. Survivors include his widow, Rene' Storm of Many; two daughters, Kathy Griffin and Nancy Cockerham of Baton Rouge; two step-daughters, Krystal Sawyer of Denver, Colo. and Misty Everette of Killen, Texas; two stepsons, Clay Sawyer of Los Angeles, Calif, and Scott Sawyer of Hammond; one sister, Helen White of Baton Rouge; three sons-in-law, Wayne Griffin, Carl Cockerham and Brian Everette; one daughter-in-law, Faith Sawyer; and eight grandchildren, Deputies Billy and Ronnie Griffin, Rita, Melissa and Philip Cockerham, Tyier Sawyer Blanchard, Lacee Sawyer and Reed Everette. In lieu of flowers, the family honors Bill's request that donations be made to First United Methodist church, Quail Ridge Baptist Church or the church or Christian foundation of the donor's choice.
