Chester P. Stringer

  Last rites for Chester P. Stringer, age 69, who died Dec. 18,
were conducted at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Dec.
20, with Rev. Johnny Rhodes, and Rev. Efton Martin officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Lambert Carroll, J. D. Skinner, Ottis Morrison,
Marvin Dew, Willie Dewill, and Wilmer Prewitt.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Stringer of Toro; daughter,
Mrs. Lee Hayes of Toro; stepdaughters, Hattie Gilmore of
Beaumont, Mrs. Jimmy Brown of Houston; stepson, J. B. Tindall of
Beaumont; brothers, Speight, and Walter M. Stringer of Toro,
Bailey Stringer of Fisher; sisters, Mrs. Bell Stowell of Jasper,
Mrs. Mary Ross of Hornbeck; one grandchild.
