Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with interment following at Pilgrim Rest cemetery. The Rev. Mike Henderson officiated. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Ann Holtzclaw and husband, James, of Cotton Valley; one son, Ira Carroll Salley and wife, Beverly, of Many; four grandchildren, James N. and Jeffrey Tod Holtzclaw of Cotton Valley; John E. and Donna Holtzclaw of Taylor, Ark.; Robert and Anna Salley of Bossier City; and Jennifer Rose and Russell Hill of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Jes Holtzclaw, Andrew Hill, and Leslie and Erin Salley; one sister, Laverne and husband, Arvin, Rivers of West Lake; one brother-in-law, Robert C. Williams of Shreveport; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Salley was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Salley; parents, C. D. and Jennie Carroll; four sisters, Lena Gauthier, Sue Lynn Hendrick, Maude Williams and Theresa Klander; and one brother, Calvin D.
