Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 27, at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Doughty officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. Clarence Berley, and the Rev. Norman Moody. Burial was in the Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Rev. J. C. Salley of Pleasant Hill, Orlan Salley of Marthaville, Vonnie L. Salley of Natchitoches, Harvey E. Salley of Robeline, and Luther Aubrey Salley of Portland, Ore.; five daughters, Mrs. Julia Harville, and Mrs. Ruth Hicks, both of Pineville, Mrs. Ester Rogers of Shreveport, and Mrs. Pearl Henry, and Mrs. Peggy Angely, both of Bossier City; one sister, Mrs. Etta Ramsey of Bossier City; three brothers, Ira Salley of Many, and Mickel Salley, and Osmer Salley, both of Shreveport, and 26 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
