Salley Addie Evans Salley of Many, died Friday, Nov. 16, in the Louisiana Nursing Home, after a sudden illness. Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Union Baptist Church in Belmont, with the Rev. J. P. King, former pastor of the Union Baptist Church, officiating. The Rev. Guy Burr, pastor of the church, assisted. Burial followed in the Union Cemetery, under the direction of Wellman's Funeral Home. Mrs. Salley was a native of DeSoto Parish, and had lived in Belmont for 53 years. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Survivors include one brother, Jim Evans of Benson; two sisters, Ada Kelley of Frierson, and Bessie Flowers of Mansfield; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
