Salley of Belmont, died in Fraser Hospital South, following a short illness, on Friday, Feb. 5, at 9:08 p.m. She was 99. Survivors include three sons, T. E. Salley of Sarepta, and Carl and Joe Salley, both of Belmont; five daughters, Mrs. Emma Bowden of Bossier City, Mrs. Eula Sellers, and Mrs. Carrah Steadman, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Opal Sistrunk of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Lois Austin of Sulphur, 31 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m., at the Union Baptist Church of Belmont. The Rev. Guy Burr officiated. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were M. Flores, James Gaddis, Carl Chance, Dwayne Blankenship, Hugh Hardee, and Joe Edward Skinner. Honorary pallbearers were Alva Tubbs, Harold Austin, Kenneth Salley, Carlton Salley, Myrl Sistrunk, Boyce Salley, Jack Salley, and Howard Sellers.
