Eligah Sowell

  Services for Mr. Eligah Sowell, 70, of Negreet, were held at 2
p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Antioch Baptist Church. Rev.
Clarence Berry officiated. Burial was in Negreet Cemetery, under
the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home.

  Mr. Sowell died Dec. 4, 1985, at the Sabine Medical Center in
Many.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola McFarland Sowell; one son,
Mr. Leslie Sowell; one step son, Mr. Arthur McFarland of Chester,
Tex.; one brother, Mr. Willie D. Sowell of Many; two sisters,
Mrs. Christella Collier of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Aslee Adam of
Silsbee, Tex.; ten grandchildren; one aunt; two uncles; and a
host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
