Emmett Carrell Slay

  Mr. Emmett Carrell Slay, 84, of Hornbeck, died at the Sabine
Medical Center in Many, on Feb. 12, 1986, at 5:25 p.m.

  Services were held at Pisgah Baptist Church in Toro, on Friday,
Feb. 14, at 2 p.m., with Rev. F. L. Belsha, and Rev. Rentols
officiating. Burial was in Old Pisgah Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers included Leland Lenahan, Jr., John Lenahan, Leland
Lenahan III, Harry Kellan, Deloy Ross, and Ricky Ross.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude B. Slay of Hornbeck; one
brother, Alvin Slay of Hornbeck; one sister, Mrs. Burna Lenahan
of Anacoco; and a host of nieces and nephews.
