Annie Lee Slay

  Services for Mrs. Annie Lee Slay, 93, were held at 11 a.m.,
Monday, February 19, at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel, with the
Rev. George Bannister officiating. Burial followed in the Forest
Park Cemetery.

  Mrs. Slay passed away Saturday, February 17, at the DeSoto
General Hospital in Mansfield, following a brief illness. She was
born in Pleasant Hill, and had resided in Mansfield since 1983.
Prior to that, she was a resident of Shreveport from 1961 until
she moved to Mansfield. She was a homemaker, and a Baptist.

  She is survived by three sons, I. L. Slay of Shreveport, Jewel
Slay of Mansfield, Alvin Slay of Marthaville; two daughters, Ruby
Lee Jacobs of Shreveport, Gertie Melton of Mansfield; 19
grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren, and great-great
grandchildren.
