Alvin Mattox Slay (Photo)

  Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Mattox Slay, 77, of Hornbeck,
were held at 3 p.m., Friday, February 9, in the Pisgah Baptist
Church. Interment followed in the Pisgah Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby McCullough,
and Rev. Carl Evans officiated.

  Mr. Slay passed away Feb. 6, at P & S Hospital in Shreveport.

  He is survived by his wife, Maudine Slay of Hornbeck; one
daughter, Quinda Bonner of Hornbeck; one granddaughter, Stacie
LaJuan Bonner of Hornbeck; one sister, Burnadine Lanahan of
Anacoco; four nieces; and one nephew.

  Mr. Slay was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Slay.
