Funeral services were held in Hornbeck Bible Baptist Church, Friday, Oct. 7, with Dr. Kelly Fitzgerald, and the Rev. Earl Marr officiating. Burial was in Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include one son, W. C. Slay of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Lee of Many, Mrs. Marie Dowden of Plainview, and Mrs. Velma Craft of Anacoco; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were the grandsons.
