SELF Alexandria Town Talk, Mar 18, 1998 ZWOLLE -- Services for Cleveland Gilbert Self will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Warren Meadows with the Rev. Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Zwolle Cemetery. Self, 57, of Orange, Texas, died Monday, March 16, 1998, in Park Place Hospital, Port Arthur, Texas. He was a river boat captain for 40 years and was known as "Chief Silver Fox" of the Red River Cherokee Tribe of Louisiana. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Self of Orange, Texas; two sons, John Self of Orange, Texas, and Dewayne Self of Bridge City, Texas; his mother, Jewel Lopez of Stonewall; three sisters, Charlene Ammons of Zwolle, Francis Lastinger of Baker and Rebecca Paddie of Stonewall; four brothers, J.C. Self of Jasper, Texas, Sonny Self of Zwolle, Harold Self of Lumberton, Texas, and Bobby Self of Wickett, Texas; and one grandchild. Friends may call until time of services today in the funeral home.
