Mrs. Bertie L. Self 
  
  Mrs. Bertie L. Self, 80, of Florien, died at Many Friday, Jan. 
12, at 6:30 p.m., after an extended illness. 
  
  Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m., at the 
Florien Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mack Brister officiating. 
Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of 
Warren Meadows Funeral Home. 
  
  Pallbearers were Cecil Bush, Vernon McRae, Bryan Poston, Jr., 
Ernest Pridgen, Wayne Turner, and Lamar Salter. 
  
  Survivors are two sons, Carl Bush of Florien, and J. O. Bush of 
Sulphur; three daughters, Mrs. Evalee Branch Granger of DeRidder, 
Mrs. Willie Mae Tilley of Hornbeck, and Mrs. W. R. Turner of 
Florien; three brothers, C. T. Leach of Hornbeck, Glen Leach of 
Edinburg, G. C. Leach of Van Nuys, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. 
Chester Dabbs of Waco, Tex., and Mrs. Hazel Withers of 
Shreveport, and ten grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
