Pierce Self

  Pierce Self, 78, of Hornbeck, died in Leesville on Friday, June
13, at 11:45 p.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Thaney Self of Hornbeck; two
daughters, Mrs. Patricia Juneau of Moreausville, and Mrs. Ruth
Jones of Hornbeck; a brother, Billie Self of Anacoco; a sister,
Susan Cooper of Orange, Tex., and one grandchild.

  Funeral services were held at the Hornbeck First Baptist Church
on Sunday, June 15, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Roy Dowden, and the
rev. L. D. Klepter officiating. Masonic rites were held at the
graveside. Burial was in Self Cemetery, under the direction of
the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
