Jessie Self Sr.

  Jessie A. Self, Sr., of Jonesboro, 84, died Monday, Dec. 20, in
Ruston.

  Services were at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, in the Edmunds Funeral
Home Chapel, with the Rev. Doyle McGrew, Bill Fuller, and Jim
Craim officiating. A second service was held at 3 p.m., in the
Castor Baptist Church Cemetery.

  Survivors include seven sons, W. D. Self, and Vernon Self, both
of Jonesboro, John Self of Willamette, Ill., Herbert Self of
Orange, Tex., Jessie Self Jr. of San Antonio, Tex., George Self
of DeRidder, Huey Self of Alexandria; four half-brothers, Henry
Self of Many, Pete Self of Oregon, Bryan Self of Anacoco, and A.
D. Self of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Carol of
Leesville, Mrs. Florence Crosby of Texas, and Mrs. Hazel White;
19 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
