Mrs. Ruby L. Self

  Mrs. Ruby L. Self, 69, of Hornbeck, died in Fraser Hospital
North, Monday, Nov. 26, at 7 a.m., following a short illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Joseph S. Self of Hornbeck; three
daughters, Mrs. Carl Jarred of Greenwood, Mrs. Julie Butler, and
Mrs. Robert McMillan, both of Shreveport; one son, Buddy Self of
Hornbeck; one brother, Arthur Byrd of Florien; three sisters,
Mrs. Jennie Schmitz, Mrs. Bessie Vogel, and Mrs. Pauline Nelms,
all of Hornbeck; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m., at the
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of the Toro Community. Officiating
were the Rev. T. J. Crosby, and the Rev. C. J. McManus. Burial
was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
