Joseph S. Self

  Funeral services for Mr. Joseph S. Self of Hornbeck, were held
Sunday, May 1, 1983, at 2 p.m., at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Roy Dowden
officiated. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Self died Saturday, April 30, in Leesville, after an
extended illness. He was 85.

  Surviving relatives include one son, Lelan (Buddy) Self of
Hornbeck; two daughters, Ivory S. Jerred, Julia S. Mosses, both
of Shreveport; two brothers, A. J. Self, Fisher, Homer Self,
Beaumont, Tex.; three sisters, Emmie Byrd, Florien, Eula Self,
Many, Irma Wallace, Odessa, Tex.; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great
grandchildren.
