William "Dewey" Self

  Mr. William "Dewey" Self, 70, died at Sabine Medical Center in
Many, on March 21, 1989.

  Services were held at Many United Pentecostal Church, on Friday,
March 24, at 2 p.m., with Rev. C. J. Walea officiating. Burial
was at Florien Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Frances Self of Many; three sons,
Monroe Self of Weatherford, North Carolina, George Self of
Anacoco, and Dennis Self of Many; two daughters, Josephine Starks
of Singapore, Millie Weiss of Katy, Tex.; four step sons, Robert
Minchew of Porter, Tex., Malcolm Coburn of Houston, Tex., Kenneth
Coburn of Florien, James Coburn of Vowels Mill; four step
daughters, Betty Sue Coburn of Texas, Judy Young, Patsy
Strickland, and Betty Freeman, all of Houston, Tex.; one sister,
Marie Herrington of Florien; three brothers, Bernice Self of
Shreveport, Otis Self of West Monroe, and Amos Self of St.
Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild; and a
host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
