Self, 47, were at 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. There will be no graveside services due to cremation. Mr. Self was the son of Rudolph L., and Catherine Self, born November 23, 1942, in Many. He was reared and educated in Many, graduated from Louisiana Tech, with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and went on to receive his Master of Business Administration degree. He had been with International Paper Company for a number of years, and at the present time, was Superintendent of Operational Services at the Pine Bluff plant of International Paper Company. He had served in the United States Army. He passed away Saturday, May 5, near the Cornerstone community in Jefferson County. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Daniel Self, to whom he was married on April 26, 1984 in Atlanta (Fulton County) Georgia; three daughters, Elizabeth Self, Kathleen Self, both of Austin, Texas, and Rebecca Self of Shreveport; three brothers, Keith Self of Escondido, California, Stanton Self of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Steven Self of Pocatello, Idaho; two sisters, Barbara Boerner of Friendswood, Texas, and Nancy Self of Boise, Idaho; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph L. Self of Kerrville, Texas. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the EAA Aviation Foundation, P. O. Box 3065, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54903-3065.
