J. J. Self

  J. J. Self, age 54 years, passed away Wednesday, March 5, at the
Allen Sanitarium in Converse, after a short illness. Funeral
services were held Friday, March 7, at the United Pentecostal
Church in Zwolle, with the pastor, the Rev. J. H. Frazier,
officiating.

  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jewell Self of Zwolle; five sons,
J. C. Self of Houston, Tex., D. C. Self of Zwolle, Cleveland Self
of Port Arthur, Tex., Harold Self of Groves, Tex., and Bobby Lee
Self of Zwolle; four daughters, Mrs. D. A. Ammons of Groves,
Tex., Mrs. W. L. May of Denham Springs, and Misses Evelyn, and
Rebecca Self, both of Zwolle; a sister, Mrs. Ed Smith of Port
Arthur, Tex.; and eight grandchildren.

  Interment was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of the
Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield.
