Sullivan Jr. Mr. Thomas William "T.W." Sullivan Jr., 74, of Hayseville died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 in Houston. T.W. moved with is parents, Tom and Bessie Jennings Sullivan, to Zwolle at age five. He graduated Zwolle High School and attended LSU and Northwestern State University until age 18 at which time he was drafted into the US Army. He served for 21 months in combat with the 69th Fighting Division of the U.S. Army, having participated in the "Battle of the Bulge." Honorably discharged in 1948, Mr. Sullivan afterwards attended Stephen F. Austin University, graduating with a degree in forestry. While in high school in Zwolle he formed a Boy Scout Troop and earned Eagle Scout status. He worked for United Gas Corporation in Shreveport and Houston for 35 years, retiring as supervisor of the Rights-of-way Department in 1985. From 1987 Mr. Sullivan worked as a consultant for various oil and gas companies. At the time of his death he was working as an agent for Navajo Refining Company in Artesia, N.M. T.W. married A. Odessa Boone and they had two sons, Thomas William Sullivan III (Tommy) and John Lane Sullivan (Johnny). Odessa and Johnny were killed in an automobile accident in 1980. Mr. Sullivan married Doris Chambers Erickson in 1983. At the time of his death he lived with wife Doris, and mother-in-law, Catherine Chambers, in Artesia, N.M. where they owned a home. Survivors include his wife, Doris C. Sullivan; son, Tommy and wife Ann of Tomball, Texas; two granddaughters, Jennifer Sullivan and Sarah Sullivan; two step-granddaughters, Kristina and Kimberly; sister, Mary Nell Parks and husband, Al Parks; two nephews, Michael Parks and Christopher Parks. He was a member of West Main Baptist Church in Artesia, N.M.; a life member of the NRA; member of the Masonic Lodge of Katy, Texas; and member of the Shriners Organization.
