Mr. James Lee Silas

  Mr. James Lee Silas died on Dec. 13, 1993, at the Bossier
Medical Center. He was 79 years of age.

  He is survived by three daughters, Julia Cobb of Princeton, La.,
Dorothy Paul of Mansfield, and Helen Kappers of Haughton; two
sons, Herman Silas of Mansfield, and Jesse Silas of Campti; five
sisters, Elizabeth Casey of Bossier City, Gertrude Rushton of
Bossier City, Mary Toby of Many, Lucille Procell of Many, and Ida
Spears of Hemphill, Tex.; and one brother, Dan Silas of
Jennerette; 20 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren.

  Services were held at St. John's Catholic Church, with interment
at St. John's Cemetery, on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m.
Services were conducted by Msgr. Norman Buvens.
