Solice Jr., was held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 1995, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Shreveport. Mr. Solice died Monday, May 29, in Minden, after a short illness. A resident of Cotton Valley, Mr. Solice was born in Spanish Lake, and was a former resident of Bossier City. He was a retired carpenter, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cotton Valley. He is survived by four sons, Charles W. (Bill) Solice, and Jerry Solice, both of Shreveport, Pete Solice of Lake Charles, and Paul R. Solice of Monroe; four daughters, Freda J. (Wanda) Davis of Cotton Valley, Bobbie Irvin of Lake End, Mira Snyder Evans of Springville, Texas, and Ruth Solice of Shreveport; three sisters, Agnes Moore of Natchitoches, Azelee Grant of Bossier City, and Lucille Flores of Shreveport; three brothers, Woodrow Solice of Shreveport, Obra Solice of Pensacola, Fla., and Lee Solice of Many; 50 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 40 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Chester "Bill-Bo" Hyde, Randy Solice, Mike Wilson, Norbert Flores, Gadys Moore, and Milford Flores. Honorary pallbearers were Rickey Solice, John Green, Scotty Solice, and Mike Solice.
