John C. Slaughter 
  
  John C. Slaughter, 59, of Many, died Sunday, Feb. 4, at 4:45 
p.m. 
  
  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m., with the 
Rev. Willis Greer officiating, and the Rev. Buddy Greer 
assisting. Interment was in the Siloam Baptist Church, under the 
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. 
  
  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Vera Slaughter; two sons, Johnny A. 
Slaughter of Many, and Jerry L. Slaughter of Florien; one 
daughter, Mrs. Fredia Walker of Nederland, Tex., four brothers, 
Rikey Slaughter of Dodson, Taft, and Tevess Slaughter, both of 
Hornbeck, and Woodrow Slaughter of Robeline; two sisters, Mrs. 
Lovie Rogers, and Mrs. Golda Mae Stroud, both of Many; and five 
grandchildren.
