Mrs. Bessie Knippers Slaughter

  Mrs. Bessie Knippers Slaughter of Glenmora, La., expired on July
31, 1985, at 12:46 p.m., in LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.

  Services were in Warren Baptist Church on Friday, August 2, at 2
p.m. Bro. Bud McCullough officiated the ceremony. Burial was in
the Warren Cemetery.

  Surviving relatives include three sons, J. W. Slaughter of
Houston, Newell W. Slaughter Jr., (Bubba), of Houma, and John
Herschel Slaughter of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters, Mrs.
Norma Garcia of Alexandria, Mrs. Dovie Gill of Pensacola,
Florida, and Mrs. Paula Brady of Glenmora; six brothers, Luther
Knippers, and I. C. Knippers, both of Florien, Arnold Knippers of
Springhill, La., Dee Knippers of Haynesville, La., Haywood
Knippers of Hornbeck, and Clarence Knippers of Pascagoula,
Mississippi; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Garcia of Powhatten, La.,
Mrs. Effie Knippers of Florien, and Mrs. Dorothy Layfield of
Haynesville, La.; twelve grandchildren; and seven great
grandchildren.

  Services were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.
