  Mrs. Rilda Elmer Slaughter - March 24, 1988

  Mrs. Rilda Elmer Slaughter, 93, died at Natchitoches Long Term
Nursing Home in Natchitoches, La. on March 19, 1988.

  Services were held at New Cedron Baptist Church at Provencal,
La. on March 22 at 2 p.m. Burial was at New Cedron Cemetery under
the directions of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include two daughters, Effie Knippers of Provencal and
Ethel Flenniken of Hobbs, New Mexico; two sons, Curtis Slaughter
of Vowels Mill, La. and George R. Slaughter, Jr.; 21
grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and
nephews.
