Jerry Slaughter

  Funeral services for Jerry Slaughter, 53, were held Friday, June
14, 1996, at Warren Meadows Chapel, at 10 a.m. Interment was at
Florien Cemetery, with Rev. Doug Hilton, and Rev. Dean Crittenden
officiating.

  Mr. Slaughter passed away Wednesday, June 12, 1996, in
Alexandria.

  He is survived by his wife, Nadine Slaughter; one son, Richard
Slaughter; one daughter, Suzanne Craft and husband, all of
Florien; mother, Vera Slaughter of Many; one sister, Fredia
Walker of Nederland; one brother, Johnny Slaughter of Many; three
grandchildren, Katie, Jessica, and Cody Craft of Florien; a host
of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Slaughter.

  Pallbearers were Monroe Powell, Will Salter, Edward Browning,
Johnny Welch, Henry Walker, and James Hickman.
