Slaughter, 42, died Monday, March 27, in Alexandria, in an automobile accident. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 29, in Cedron Baptist Church, with the Rev. Glenn Flenniken officiating. Burial was in the Cedron Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include her husband, S. W. Slaughter of Vowells Mill; four sons, H. Steve Slaughter of Shreveport, Raymond Slaughter of Natchitoches, Herman Slaughter, and O. Lovell Slaughter, both of Vowells Mill; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Foshee of Vowells Mill; three brothers, Dennis Foshee of Trout, Travis Foshee of Houston, Tex., Nolan O. Foshee of Baytown; four sisters, Mrs. Earl Jones of Natchitoches, Mrs. Curtis Slaughter, Mrs. Caldwell Pitts, and Mrs. Charles Penrod, all of Vowells Mill; and one grandchild.
