James L. Slaughter

  James L. Slaughter, 82, died in a Leesville hospital, after a
short illness, Friday, March 25.

  Survivors are two sons, J. C. Slaughter of Florien, and Willard
Slaughter of Glenmora; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Snell of
Hornbeck, Mrs. Bertha Miller of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Christell
Alexanton of Anacoco; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Dow; 21
grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. Burial was in the Oak
Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home of Many.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons.
