G. R. Slaughter

  Services were held recently for G. R. Slaughter, 81, who died
Feb. 24, at the Natchitoches General Hospital in Natchitoches.

  The Rev. E. E. Dees officiated at the services, which were held
at the Cedron Baptist Church. Burial was in the Cedron Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. G. P. Slaughter of Robeline; four
sons, Leroy Slaughter of Minneapolis, Minn., George Slaughter Sr.
of North Carolina, and Curtis, and Henry Murlin Slaughter, both
of Vowells Mill; two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Knippers of Provencal,
and Mrs. B. S. Flenniken of Hobbs, N. M.; and 23 grandchildren.
