Slaydon, 50, of Leesville, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Full Gospel Church in Leesville, with the Rev. John Reece, and the Rev. John Littleton officiating. Burial was in Cooper Cemetery, Pickering, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Mr. Slaydon died about 2:20 a.m., Sunday, in an Alexandria hospital, after a short illness. He was a native of Carson, was a civil service employee, and was a World War II veteran. Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Katherine Cluney Slaydon; his mother, Mrs. Pearl Slaydon of Leesville; four sons, Kenneth W. Slaydon, with the U. S. Army in Germany, and Bobby D. Slaydon, David P. Slaydon, and Daniel G. Slaydon, all of Leesville; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Mitchell, and Geraldine Slaydon, both of Leesville; another sister, Mrs. Connie Erwin of Hornbeck; two brothers, Bruce Slaydon of Anacoco, and Fred Slaydon of Leesville; and three grandchildren.
