J. W. Shelton

  Jules W. Shelton, 43, a former Shreveport resident for 15 years,
died July 16.

  Funeral services for Mr. Shelton, who lived in Zwolle at the
time of his death, were held July 17, in Brookwood Baptist Church
in Shreveport, with the Rev. Billy Franks, pastor of Oakmont
Church of God officiating. The Rev. Jerry Green of the Brookwood
Baptist Church, assisted.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Patricia Shelton of Zwolle; his
mother, Mrs. Mary L. Shelton of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Randel
Shelton of Zwolle; two daughters, Donna Kay Shelton, and Debra
Ann Shelton, both of Zwolle; two brothers, Howard Shelton of
Halls, Tenn., and Wayland J. Shelton of Blytheville, Ark.; six
sisters, Mrs. Roberta Slaughter, and Mrs. Joyce Kirk of
Birmingham, Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Gadsden, Ala., Mrs. Hazel
Adams of Hayden, Ala., Mrs. Lucy Hyde of Oneonta, Ala., and Mrs.
Juanita Foote of Chicago, Ill.

  Pallbearers were James Sasser, W. J. Lester, F. T. Jamieson Jr.,
S. D. Davis, Ravinell Capps, and Ray Hawkins.
