The Sabine Index - Taylor Salter

  28 Aug 1936 - Taylor Salter, prominent planter of Redland
community, near Florien, passed away at the family residence
Tuesday evening after a long illness.

  Mr. Salter was born and reared in Sabine parish, having been
a successful planter, good citizen and neighbor.

  Funeral services were held at Antioch at 5 p.m. Wednesday with
Rev. J. M. Pate officiating.

  Surviving are the widow and three sons, Herman of Port Arthur,
Texas, Horace and Hastel of Florien, and one daughter Mrs. Curtis
Hildebrand of Florien.
