James W. Salter

  Funeral services for James W. Salter, 77, of Florien, were held
Sunday, Feb. 13, at 4 p.m., in the Florien First Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Brent Fleming, the Rev. Mack Brister, and the Rev.
Harold Dunn officiating. Interment was in the Florien Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Salter died Friday evening, Feb. 11, following a long illness.

  Survivors include his widow; a son, Kyle Salter, of Florien; a
brother, Claiborne Salter of Natchitoches; four grandchildren, and
1 great-grandchild.

  Pallbearers were Lamar Salter, Joe Anderson, Dick Miller, Haskell
Lowe, Will Lott, and Melvin Miller.
