(Jack) Salter, 53, of Shreveport, died late Saturday, March 10, in his home, following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held March 12, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Osborn Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Patten, and Rev. Richard Burns, both of St. Mark's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Salter, a native of Negreet, had resided in Shreveport for 34 years. He was an employee of Nolen Motor Co., of Bossier City, a member of St. Mark's, and the Elks Club, and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cecily Salter, and Susan Salter, both of Shreveport, and his mother, Mrs. Cecil L. Salter of Many. Pallbearers were Ray Nolen, Austin Bryant, Jesse Brownlee, Victory Parish, Bennie Reeves, and N. C. Brownlee Jr.
