The Sabine Index - Catherine E. Salter

  11 Feb 1944 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Catherine E. Salter, age 76
years, were held Monday at Antioch at 4 p.m. Rev. W. G. Bailey
officiated, Dennis-Green funeral home in charge. Interment was in
Antioch cemetery. Pallbearers were: John Wright, B. F. Miller, J.
O. Dubose, Bernice Anthony, C. L. Salter and Ira McAlpin.

  Surviving are nine sons, Roy, Don, Lee and Crockett of Florien,
Victor of San Angelo, Texas, Julian of Port Arthur, Texas, Otis
of Zwolle, Lee of Shreveport and Valery of Zwolle; one daughter,
Mrs. Lona Bell Anthony of Florien; one sister, Mrs. W. T. Salter
of Port Arthur, Texas; 24 grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren.

  Mrs. Salter was loved by all who knew her and her influence will
be missed in the community.
