Salter 22 Jun 1951 - Last rites for Mrs. Ed F. Salter, 68, who passed away at her home in Many after several weeks illness Sunday, were conducted at First Baptist church, Many, 10 a.m. Monday by Rev. C. W. Williams, assisted by Revs. A. O. Youngblood and E. E. Field. Eastern Star rites were held at the church. Interment was in Many cemetery under direction Warren funeral home. Pallbearers were Eldry Vines, Nathan Hall, J. H. Ritter, Will Davis, T. M. Phillips and C. L. Massingill. Surviving relatives include: husband Ed F. Salter, Many, sons, Leon Salter, Shreveport, Ernest and Elton Salter, both of Many, Norman and Kirk Salter, both of Eunice; daughters, Mrs. Devonia Willard, Frierson, Mrs. Ruth LaCour, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Leona Wright, Leesville, Mrs. Georgia Gardner and Miss Exie Salter, both of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Thelma Davenport, El Paso, Texas and Mrs. Jaunita Edwards, Many; brothers Jess Miller, Florien, Ivy Miller, Shreveport, John Miller, Mooringsport, LeRoy Miller, Natchitoches and Roscoe Miller, Alexandria; sisters, Mrs. W. M. Leach, Vivian, Ms. Exa Simmons, Elizabeth; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
