H. L. Salter

  H. L. (Jack) Salter of Beaumont, Texas, passed away Friday, Jan.
21, at 2 p.m., at his farm near Florien.

  Mr. Salter was a native of Sabine Parish, and the son of the
late Jeff and Emma Salter, early settlers of the area.

  Mr. Salter was a member of North End Baptist Church. He had
retired from Josey-Miller Company in 1970, after 38 years of
service as sales representative.

  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Richardson Salter;
two daughters, Judy Baber, and Kathy Getschel, both of Beaumont;
a son, Jack Salter of Beaumont; five grandchildren, several
nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, in the L.
M. Williams and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in
Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
