Claiborn F. Salter

  Claiborn F. Salter, 80, of Sulphur, died in Sulphur, on
Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his son, Clyde Salter of Lake Charles; a
stepson, Elton Cobb of Lafayette; four grandchildren; five great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held at the Antioch Baptist Church on
Saturday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Coda Salter, and the
Rev. Don Nunley officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery,
under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
