Salter, 68, of Shreveport, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, in the Fisher Baptist church in Fisher, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell, pastor of the Provencal Baptist Church, and the Rev. Charles Barnette, pastor of the Lynwood Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside Masonic services were held in the Kisatchie Cemetery, under the direction of the Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, and Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Mr. Salter, a retired accountant, formerly of Fisher, had lived the last three years in Shreveport. He died Sunday, May 6, in P and S Hospital, after a short illness. He was a member of Leesville Masonic Lodge No. 240, and the Fisher Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Gary Salter of Shreveport; two daughters, Sherry Dees of Bossier City, and Peggy Amison of Belgium; one brother, M. C. Salter of Leesville; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were W. L. Dees, Bill Green, Paul Dowden, Harry Laurent, Pete Anderson, and Charles Lockwood.
