"Aunt Audye", as she was so fondly called by all who knew her, was a native of Florien, but had lived in Zwolle all her married life. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 3 p.m., in the Zwolle First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Dickson officiating, and assisted by the Rev. Fisk Ray. Interment was in the Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Surviving relatives include her husband, V. H. (Chick) Salter of Zwolle; one brother, Buford Temple of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Nola Sanders of San Diego, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Salter's body laid in state from 10 a.m., Wednesday, until service time at Zwolle First Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Jim Graves, Wyatt Speight, Henry Peacock, Irving Wright, Pete McCormick, Fred Remedies, Kenneth Dockens, and John Loring. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Salter Sunday School Class, and Deacons of the First Baptist Church.
