James Scott Salter

  James Scott Salter, 70, of Negreet, died Thursday, Nov. 12, at
8:50 p.m., at Fraser Hospital North in Many, following a short
illness.

  Funeral services were held at the Zion Hill Baptist Church,
Saturday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Dan Jones, and Rev. Avon
Cavanaugh officiating. Interment was at the Zion Hill Cemetery.

  He is survived by his widow, Arlene Salter of Negreet; a son,
Scott Salter of Negreet; three sisters, Marie White of West
Monroe, Jewel Gandy of Whitney, Tex., and Effie Wright, Texas;
and two grandchildren, Shannon Scott Salter of Negreet, and Kathy
Shawn Salter of Negreet.
