The Rev. Mack Brewster, and the Rev. Billy Fuller officiated. Burial was in Florien Cemetery. Plans were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Mr. Salter died Friday, Oct. 7, 1983, in an automobile accident on Hwy. 28 near Leesville, La. He was a deacon, and Sunday School director at the First Baptist Church of Florien, and was director of the Sabine Valley Vocational Technical School, and regional director of the Shreveport Region 7 Vocational Technical Center. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Salter; three sons, Don Salter, Jon Salter, and Chris Salter; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Salter; and one brother, Joe R. Salter, all of Florien. Pallbearers were Tommy Cordova, David Crittenden, Quinton Corley, Larry Miller, Jim Owens, Charles Wright, Sid Lucius, and John Manasco.
