Mrs. Hazel Anita Slater

  Mrs. Hazel Anita Slater, 41, of Florien, passed away in Many, on
July 5, 1985, at 5 p.m.

  Services for Mrs. Slater were held in the Warren Meadows Chapel
on July 7, at 2 p.m. Rev. Jeff Flenniken officiated. Burial was
in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The funeral was under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert Eugene Slater of
Florien; two sons, Michael Anthony Slater of Dallas, Tex., and
Kenneth Wayne Slater of Florien; one stepson, Frank Carl Slater
of Deloris, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra McGlothlain of
Florien, and Miss Tammy Bless Slater of Burrs Ferry, La.; one
step daughter, Linda Leone Slater of Prague, Okla.; her mother,
Mrs. Hazel Christine Jones of Florien; three half brothers, Paul
Blasingim of Port LaVaca, Tex., Johnny Blasingim of Houston, and
Roy Blasingim of Saudi Arabia; and eight grandchildren.

  Pallbearers included Dwaine Calhoune, Jerry Getschel, Eddie
Jones Jr., Gary Howell, Gene Squillini, and Roy Snell
