Rev. Coda R. Salter

  Services for the Rev. Coda R. Salter, 59, of Tullos, were held
at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, in the Tullos First Baptist Church. Dr.
Ralph Webber officiated. Burial was in Antioch Baptist Church
Cemetery in Florien, under the direction of Kinner and Stevens
Funeral Home of Jena.

  Rev. Salter, pastor of the Tullos First Baptist Church for 27
years, died suddenly, at 5:55 p.m., Friday, April 18, 1986, in
Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie Cook Salter of Tullos;
one son, Kevin Salter of Tullos; one daughter, Mrs. Karla Maxwell
of Tullos; two brothers, Jack Salter of Florien, and Pete Salter
of Sulphur; two sisters, Mrs. Bennie Blackett of Ocean Side
Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Turpin of Lake Charles; and one grandchild.

  The family requests that memorials may be given to the Tullos
First Baptist Church Building Fund.
